Terms of sale and use
Last updated October 2026
These terms cover buying and using Neusonian Institute software and using this website. We've kept them short and plain.
Who we are
Neusonian Institute is the business name used by Roy Holton, a sole proprietor based in New Bern, North Carolina. When these terms say "we" or "us," they mean Roy Holton doing business as Neusonian Institute. "You" means the person buying or using our software or visiting this site.
Buying our software
Our products are sold through a secure third-party checkout service, which processes your payment under its own terms. Prices are shown at checkout. When your purchase is complete, you get a license to use the software as described below.
Your license
- One license is for one person. You can install the software on the computers you personally use.
- You can use it for personal work or for your job.
- You may not resell, share, or give away the software or your copy of it.
- The software is licensed to you, not sold. We keep ownership of the software itself. You own everything you create with it.
Updates
Each product's page explains how that product is priced and how its updates work. The update practice stated on a product's page when you buy it is the one that applies to your purchase.
Refunds
Each product's page lists the minimum system requirements it needs to run. Please check that your computer meets them before you buy. If your computer meets those requirements and the product doesn't work for you, contact us within 7 days of buying it and we'll work with you to fix the problem or refund your purchase. We can't offer refunds when a computer doesn't meet the listed requirements.
Our software comes as is
We work hard to make our software reliable, but it is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We can't promise it will be free of every bug or suit every purpose. Keep backups of work that matters to you.
Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses from using our software or this site, such as lost data or lost profits. If we are ever found responsible for a loss, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for the product involved.
